Sometimes it is little things that make a big difference. There are some websites that will contribute to organizations relative to how many people visit their website or perform a simple task. These could be great ways to show students to think and act globally.

- http://www.freepoverty.com/ – FreePoverty.com allows everyone to contribute in donating water to people from all over the world who live in extreme poverty. By letting users locate places on the map, their accuracy will determine how many cups of water will be donated on their behalf. Therefore, FreePoverty aims to: (1) Provide clean drinking water to those in need (2) Make users realize that they can make a difference (3) Let users learn something about geography that they may have not known before
- http://www.smallthingschallenge.com/ – The Intel Corporation has teamed up with www.Kiva.org <http://www.kiva.org/> and Save the Children’s Rewrite the Future <http://www.savethechildren.org/campaigns/rewrite-the-future/> program to create the Small Things Challenge. When you visit this site, simply click on “We’ll Donate 5 cents For You”, fill in the text box on the next page with the authenticity phrase, and you’re done.
- http://theprojectcharity.org/ Observe World Rare Disease Day on Feb. 28th. This day will focus on children helping other children diagnosed with rare diseases.
